Yes! Virtual sessions are as effective as in-person psychotherapy. Online therapy allows clients more flexibility in location and increases access to services, especially those in more rural areas or who have more difficulty leaving home for appointments. Virtual therapy sessions are offered through a convenient and secure telehealth platform.

You will need a private space, and a secure, private internet connection. Sessions can be accessed on a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. Joining our video sessions is made easy by the platform I use. I will send instructions for joining prior to our sessions.

From there, we will arrange a time for our intake appointment where I will review paperwork, gather information, and begin to discuss our plan to address your goals for therapy.

If clients cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, they will be billed for the full cost of the session except in the case that the appointment is rebooked for the same week (pending availability). If clients have more than 2 cancellations during the course of treatment/therapy we will address the need for ongoing therapy.

Services are provided virtually, with no brick-and-mortar office. Clients can be located in any of the 43 states included under the PSYPACT authorization to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology (APIT).

I’m a board-certified clinical geropsychologist through the American Board of Professional Psychology. This means I completed a year of specialized training in providing psychological services to older adults. I completed a review of my work and oral examination by peers, and was deemed to meet criteria for specialty practice in providing services to older adults.

Beyond meeting criteria to have a degree from a university and a license to practice from a state, this means that my actual clinical practice has been reviewed and vetted by those doing the same work within the same speciality.
