Accepting new clients for telehealth sessions in Wisconsin, Utah,
Colorado & 40 more states under PSYPACT

Welcome! I'm Dr. Weston Donaldson (he/him). I'm glad you're here.
As a psychologist, I am passionate about meeting the needs of LGBTQ+ people as they move from middle age to older adulthood. Many of the LGBTQ+ people I have worked with did not come in due to concerns about their sexual orientation or gender identity. They were dealing with relationship loss, health changes, caregiving for a loved one, or adjusting to retirement. Even so, they often remarked how it was helpful to talk to someone who understood the unique complexity of being an LGBTQ+ person in this world, and how that showed up in their life situations.
To our work together, I bring my expertise in LGBTQ+ aging and mental health, and as my client, you bring your expertise in your own life, experiences, and needs. Together, we can work to build a path forward that feels right at this phase of your life.

What I’ve heard from my former clients is that they felt seen, were able to share without judgment, and had the space to make the changes they knew they needed but did not have the support to make. I am energized by seeing people find new insights, new ways of being, new ways of relating to their past, present, and future. The greatest satisfaction in my work comes from seeing my clients learn to see, trust, and embody their own special magic and bring it into their lives. I am here to help you do the same.
My Experience

The compassionate, non-judgmental space that I experienced with my own therapists during my time of coming out spurred my desire to become a psychologist. It has been my honor to sit with people over the past 15 years and hear their stories, working to help them find a way through toward a balanced, fulfilling life.
I have worked with a wide range of people, most of them middle aged and older, as they experienced challenges such as a terminal illness diagnosis, cognitive changes, loss of employment, death of loved ones, and ends of relationships. What keeps me coming back to this work is seeing people make meaningful changes, find peace and self-acceptance, and tap into their strengths to move forward in the face of adversity.

Big Lord of the Rings fan here - I could watch The Fellowship of the Ring on repeat forever.
