Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this website. By accessing or using proudhearttherapy.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

1. About this website
This website is operated by Proud Heart Therapy Services, LLC, a licensed psychological practice owned by Weston Donaldson, Ph.D., ABPP, a licensed psychologist in Wisconsin (and authorized under PSYPACT in additional jurisdictions). The website provides general information about the practice, its services, and mental health topics, as well as a means to request a consultation.
2. No therapist–client relationship via this website
Using this website, submitting a contact form, reading blog posts, or communicating by email does not establish a therapist–client relationship between you and Dr. Weston Donaldson or Proud Heart Therapy Services, LLC.
A professional therapeutic relationship is only established when both parties have explicitly agreed to work together, you have completed required intake documentation, and a formal informed consent has been signed. Until that relationship is formally established, any information you share through this website is not subject to psychologist–client privilege.
If you are in crisis, please do not use this website to seek emergency assistance. Contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or go to your nearest emergency room.
3. Telehealth services — scope and limitations
Proud Heart Therapy Services, LLC provides telehealth psychotherapy services to eligible individuals. The following limitations and conditions apply:
Geographic eligibility
Services are provided only to individuals located in states where Dr. Donaldson is licensed or authorized to practice at the time of each session. Currently, services are available to residents of Wisconsin, Utah, Colorado, and additional PSYPACT-participating states. It is the client's responsibility to confirm their eligibility based on their location at the time of service.
Technology requirements and risks
-
Telehealth sessions require a stable internet connection, appropriate device, and use of the designated secure platform (Sessions Health)
-
Technical difficulties may occur and could interrupt a session; both parties will make reasonable efforts to reconnect
-
Telehealth may not be appropriate for all individuals or clinical presentations; Dr. Donaldson reserves the right to recommend in-person care or referral when clinically indicated
-
While we use HIPAA-compliant platforms, no technology can be guaranteed 100% secure
Emergencies
Telehealth services are not appropriate for psychiatric emergencies. If you experience a mental health emergency during or between sessions, you are responsible for contacting emergency services (911) or going to your nearest emergency room. We will discuss your emergency plan at the start of services.
